Damen and Brekupa sign contract for equipment for the Combat Support Ship

Damen and Brekupa Technics B.V. are going to work together again, this time on the Combat Support Ship (CSS) for the Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN). The scope of supply concerns lube oil and fuel oil hose reels for refuelling rigid hull inflatable boats (RHIBs) and fast raiding interception and special forces craft (FRISCs) on board the CSS. Part of the hose reels are fitted with a stainless steel housing to protect them against salt water.

Brekupa Technics B.V. is located in De Meern and has a total of 20 employees. Founded in 1990, the company specialises in the distribution of various fluids including oils and fuels. They supply various pumps, reels and discharge meters for this.

Damen Naval and Brekupa have been working together for more than ten years, on naval ships for the RNLN, including the Joint Support Ship HNLMS Karel Doorman and the amphibious transport ship HNLMS Rotterdam. In addition to Damen Naval, Brekupa has been working for a long time with Damen Shiprepair & Conversion (DSC), in particular the yards in Vlissingen, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. The strength of the collaboration is that Damen and Brekupa jointly arrive at the right configuration of equipment to be supplied to the end user.
