Damen Naval and Minderhoud & Schipper (M&S) have signed a contract for the supply of rope reels for the Royal Netherlands Navy’s new Combat Support Ship (CSS). A total of sixteen rope reels will be delivered in Romania, where the CCS is being built, in the beginning of 2022.
Just like Damen Naval, M&S is established in the Dutch province of Zeeland. Located in Middelburg, with 23 staff, M&S has been specialised in customised stainless steel, aluminium and steel products for 25 years.
The company has been supplying high-quality products such as cable and rope reels, hatches and covers to Damen Naval built ships all this time. In addition, M&S is a loyal supplier to Damen Yachting. This, among other things, includes railing, aluminium furniture and bespoke steel parts.
